CONSTITUATION AND BYLAWS OF BLESSING CHURCH INTERNATIONAL
ROCHESTER,NEW YORK NON-PROFIT RELIGIOUS CORPORATION
PREAMBLE
This constituation and bylaws are made to: 1. Preserve and secure the principles of our faith. 2. Preserve the liberties of each individual member of the church. 3. Ensure freedom of action of independence from any religious body or organization. 4. Provide for orderly conduct of internal affairs, in dealing with others, and of governing members.
Name and Principal office
Article I
BLESSING CHURCH INTERNATIONAL is the name of this corporation, the official church office is located at 226 Smith Street Rochester NY. The church has full outhority to change the principal office from one location to another.
Article II
Purpose
1. To Worship God, who is worthy of all praise and glory. 2. To serve God locally , nationally, and internationally by fulfilling the great commission of Jesus Christ as set forth in ( Matthew 28:19-20 ). 3. To minister to the needs of the members and others as the church is able to do so. 4. To do any all things related to and in connection with the carrying out of purpose of a New Testament Church.
Church Confession of Faith
Statement of Faith.
We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired breath of God, sufficient, certain, inerrant, infallible, word of God( 2 Timothy 3:15-17; Isaiah 8:20; Luke 16:29, 31; Ephesians 2:20; Romans 1:19-21; Romans 2:14,15; Psalms 19:1-3; Hebrews 1:1; Proverbs 22:19-21; Romans 15:4; 2 Peter 1:19,20 )
Article III
1. God
There is one God, who is infinitely holy and perfect, creator of the universe, existing co-equally and co-eternally in the Persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1: 26 )
2. The Scripture
We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired breath of Godand absolute authority for mankind. Therefore, it is inerrant, infallible, and sufficient( Exodus 24: 4 )
3. Man
Man was created by the God ( genesis 2:7 ), and fell into sin (Genesis 3: 9 ), and can only be restored in relationship with God by God’s grace.
4. Salvation
We strongly believe that salvation is only possible by the grace of the Lord through faith in Jesus and not by works. ( Ephesians 2: 8,9 )
5. Church
A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ in an autonomous local congregation of Baptist believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel.The New Testament also speaks of the church as the body of Christ which includes all the redeemed of all the ages.
6. Ordinance
Christain baptism is the immersion of a belivers in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s crucifixion, burial and rescurrection with Jesus Christ ( Romans 6: 3,4 ) The Lord’s supper is a symbolic act of obedience memorializing the death of the Redeemer and anticipating His second coming ( 1 cor 11: 23-29 ) 7. Marriage
We believe that the term “ marriage “ has only one meaning that is marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one women in a single exclusive union, as delineated in scripture. ( Matthew 19:6b )
8. Evangelism and Missions
The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded the preaching of the gospel to all nations. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by verbal withness undergirded by a christain lifestyle, and by other methods in harmony with the gospel of Christ. ( Matthew 28: 19,20 )
Article IV
Government
The Government of this church is vested in the body of believers who compose it . It is subjected to the control of no other ecclesiastical body, but it recognize and sustain the obligation of mutual counsel and corporation which are common among Baptist churches . This church will corporate with and support the New York Baptist Assocation, Baptist state association, and Southern Baptist Convention.
Article V
Affiliation
BLESSING CHURCH INTERNATIONAL is autonomous and maintains full authority to govern its own affairs. However, this church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention in its national, state and local expression and views the Baptist Faith and Message (2000 ) as a guide to our teaching.
Article VI
Amendments
Changes in the constituation and Bylaws may be made at any regular business meeting of the church, provided such amendments shall have been presented in writing at a previous meeting and copies of the propose amendments be furnished to each familwhich has at least one church member. Amendments to the constitustion and bylaws shall be approved by a three-fourth majority of all member of the church presente and voting.
